Rick co-founded LFM Capital and brings to the Fund over 23 years of private equity and investment banking experience with a strong and successful track record in identifying and completing acquisitions and working with management teams toward successful exits.
Prior to founding LFM, Rick was a Principal at TVV Capital (2004-2014) where he directed TVV’s transactional activity, including buy-side diligence, transaction structuring, third-party debt financing and sell-side exit strategies. Rick managed M&A intermediary relationships for the successful exits of five TVV portfolio companies. He served on the Boards of five TVV portfolio companies: Indco, Superior Highwall Miners, Critical Solutions International, Big 3 Precision Products, and Bigham Brothers.
Prior to joining TVV, he was Senior Vice President of McDonald Investments (2000-2003), a Vice President of J.C. Bradford & Co. (1992-2000), a Nashville-based investment banking firm, and an Analyst at Stephens, Inc. (1988-1990). At McDonald and Bradford, Rick was responsible for new client generation, M&A execution and capital-raising activities for both public and private companies, and Special Committee and fairness opinion advisory assignments for clients in a wide variety of industries including manufacturing, healthcare services, consumer products, and restaurants.
Rick received his BS degree from the University of Virginia, McIntire School of Commerce and his MBA from the University of Texas Graduate School of Business.
